The Dogs of Japan - Beautiful Book

So there's this book that came out in 2024, and it's currently my favorite Nihon Ken picture book. It covers all 6 of the recognized Japanese breeds, plus has sections on the Karafuto, Ryukyu, and even breaks the Shiba into three groups: Shinshu, Mino, and San-in.

The quality of the photography is excellent, and its 240 pages are full of interesting chapters that cover everything from hunting, to the DNA origins of the Nihon Ken. Of course it's all in Japanese, but it's a beautiful book to have for the coffee table, and we now have camera translators in our smartphones, right?

It's a bit of a tricky one to find available, as I think the print run was not that large. I took a copy with me to Europe in September where it was immediately claimed by everyone who saw it. I promised I would try to rustle up some copies, and have managed to find 5 more. If anyone is interested, hit me up at kato.the.walrus@gmail.com I'll double check with the post office, but I think 110euro for the book and shipping is doable.
